The Warriors should be considered one of the biggest winners in the NBA trade deadline. Since acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat, Golden State have gone 7-1 in his first eight games, including a five-game winning streak. They are the second-most in-form team behind the East-leading Cavaliers, who extended their unbeaten run to nine games after beating the Celtics on the road.
Stephen Curry and co. are keen to make it six straight when they take on the shorthanded Sixers at Wells Fargo Center, and the NBA 2025 odds fancy the visitors’ chances to win. Meanwhile, the Hornets, Pistons, Rockets, Grizzlies, and Mavericks will host the Wizards, Nets, Kings, Spurs, and Bucks to round out tomorrow’s six-game slate.
SBOTOP will preview the top three games in the Association tomorrow. So, continue reading below for some of the relevant NBA 2025 updates.
Sacramento Kings @ Houston Rockets
The Rockets may have one of the best records in the Western Conference at 37-22, but they have yet to figure out how to beat the Kings this season, losing their first two meetings. Ime Udoka and co. are on a two-game winning streak after beating the Bucks and Spurs. The Rockets have won six of their last eight following a six-game losing streak last month.
Amen Thompson was the Rockets’ leading scorer in their Texas showdown victory over the Victor Wembanyama-less Spurs last Wednesday, as he had 25 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two blocks on an efficient 12-for-15 shooting from the field. Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and Jeff Green added 21, 19, and 13 points.

The Kings improved to a 30-28 for the 10th spot in the Western Conference because they’re also on a two-game winning streak, blowing out the Hornets and Jazz.
Keegan Murray led Sacramento with 26 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and five three-pointers on 9-for-16 shooting from the field against Utah. Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Jonas Valanciunas, Malik Monk, Domantas Sabonis, and Keon Ellis added 22, 19, 15, 13, and 12 points. In the same match, DeRozan became the 30th player in NBA history and the sixth active player to breach the 24,000-point threshold.

Golden State Warriors @ Philadelphia Sixers
Stephen Curry led the Warriors to a 121-115 win over the Magic yesterday, as the two-time NBA All-Star Game MVP dropped 56 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and 12 three-pointers on 16-for-25 shooting from the field and 12-for-12 from the free throw line. Golden State needed each point from Curry, who notched 22 points in the third period to turn a 14-point deficit into a five-point lead entering the final period.
Quinten Post came off the bench and recorded 18 points and five rebounds on 7-for-9 shooting from the field. Draymond Green and Moses Moody added 12 and 10 points.
The Sixers are better off tanking for the rest of the 2024-25 campaign after officially shutting down Joel Embiid because of his chronic knee problems. Philadelphia’s losing run was extended to nine games following a 110-105 defeat against New York last Wednesday. Tyrese Maxey got 30 points, four rebounds, and five assists but shot a woeful 12-for-32 from the field. Kelly Oubre Jr. and Paul George added 27 and 25 points in the losing effort.
With Embiid out, Andre Drummond, Guerschon Yabusele, and Adem Bona will do their best to pick up the slack. Drummond started at center against the Knicks and notched seven points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 29 minutes.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Dallas Mavericks
Milwaukee recorded a 121-112 win over Denver, as Giannis Antetokounmpo won the battle of the MVPs between him and Nikola Jokic. The Greek Freak put up 28 points, 19 rebounds, and seven assists on 11-for-23 shooting. Brook Lopez, Damian Lillard, Kyle Kuzma, Gary Trent Jr., and Taurean Prince added 22, 19, 16, 15, and 10 points.
Dallas ended their two-game slide with a timely home victory against Charlotte last Thursday. Kyrie Irving registered 25 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks on 11-for-24 shooting from the field. Moses Brown had 20 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks on 9-for-14 shooting from the field. Klay Thompson and Dante Exum added 18 and 12 points.
The Bucks are poised to win since they can exploit the Mavericks’ thin frontcourt, with Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Lively II injured.
Betting tip – Milwaukee Bucks Asian Handicap -2.50 @ 1.90
